The much expected follow-up to the first EP by Haryon is now finally out. This comes not only as a masterfully played Dungeon Synth tribute to Tolkien's world, but also, as expected from Murgrind, a highly orchestral, masterfully composed soundtrack for escapism and reveries. It's rare, especially in nowadays scene, to find such a sincere and well thought musical experience - because this album transcends mere DS and becomes an unique take on the genre, like most Murgrind releases manged before!

Not fishing for pity, but life is shit at the moment I'm writing this. Fortunately for me, The Awakening has found its way to me several weeks ago (thanks for the code, Murgrind!) and enables not only a high degree of relaxation, but the possibility to cleanse one's inner chaos. It is a prime example of meditative support from start to finish, but I'm Consciousness is the uncontested highlight for me. Suffering sucks, but nadir also marks a turning point - it will go up afterwards. Never forget!
